This is said lack of knowledge about the subject, on the theoritical grounds.
it is quite strange that you will not see Muslim scholars or even lay Muslims to insult any religious leaders, but many of others dont respect others belief, what cause you to think that you are right, then proof with literate way.
MAJOR MISTAKE,
The statement you choose is not the word of Prophet (pbuh), but are the WORD OF GOD, and God challenges in the same Quran that if you think that it is not sent by ME, then make a sentence like that, if you dont do so and will never be able to do, then be prepare for the torment. Since 1400 years have been passed no one on earth has accept this challenge.
Simple hatred cannot win the truth, truth remains there. See you have shown the half part if you post the full text (which you dont like) then reader may have the better understanding.
My dear, Quran is not sent to Muslims only, it is sent down for the Humanity, like the Bible or Torah was.
May reader See what you have mixed up.
FULL TRANSLATION OF THE QURAN 6:151
Say: "Come, I will rehearse what Allah (GOD) hath (really) prohibited you from": Join not anything as equal with Him; be good to your parents; kill not your children on a plea of want;- We provide sustenance for you and for them;- come not nigh to shameful deeds. Whether open or secret; take not life, which Allah hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law: thus doth He command you, that ye may learn wisdom. {151}
Regret for the critics, but you have not shown literate remarks, I know many non-muslims who have seriously investigated and made valuable reseaches. But now a days only emotional hatred is used to ask the questions about some religion, and people dont care much about the rational thinking.

There is no contradiction...
You're obviously mistaken, and/or your source is Bias.
Prophet Muhammad was a peaceful man and did nothing but merely defend his people...
If you ever get around to reading the Ahadith or the stories of Prophet Muhammad.. from a reliable and un-bias source, you will find that he didnt promote violence and actually condemned it.
You must also take into consideration that the Prophet Muhammad lived in a very dangerous time, where people were always out to kill him for promoting Islam. These were the non-believers or Idol worshippers..
Muslims during the early Islamic period lived among the Christians and Jews peacefully.
By the way, Jihad, doesnt mean what you think it means.. you, like many others, believe it means a Holy war... etc..
It actually means to struggle or strive.. and anybody could be doing it..
Some express their jihad in many different forms, like, for example, women who wear the hijab in places that don't tolerate them... She is therefore struggling to commit herself to her religion.. therefore she is a Mujahid.. someone who is practising Jihad...
But you sound like a smart guy.. you probably know all about that already.
If you need some reliable information, you should contact either myself, or perhaps speak to someone a little more educated
Peace and Love..

I m sorry to say that u have been wrongly brainwashed with Anti Islamic media. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said that we r allowed to fight ONLY IF WE ARE ATTACKED, we cannot plunder or murder - and get rid of ur Jihad misconception - Jihad means struggle, not war. the struggle is mainly spiritual - the struggle to find God's truth and not the struggle to kill infidels as u think.
I used think like u, when I was an atheist, and now i reverted to Islam, the finest of religions and I certify it as WITHOUT CONTRADICTIONS.(research the Quran) that is the word of God

What you see happening right now is not the teachings of Prophet Muhammad. You accuse him for plunderer and murderer due to what the Muslim terrorists have done. And it is not your fault to see it that way. Sometimes does it occurs to you that you teach your child well but he/she ended up the opposites? And prophet Muhammad has left us for many centuries. Similar to any Christians and Jews and any other religions. We too have our fair share of bad muslims. This is what the Quran call them as 'unbelievers' and 'infidels'. Not you, nor the Christians or the Jews. Its the enemies under our own blanket that is the real 'unbelievers' and 'infidels'. Many Muslim misinterpret it. And as a true Muslim, i too have the important job to stop these. Free to e-mail me. Peace.

Questions on religion are tricky to answer most times, more so if we find a contradiction in it's content, don't know how many will find a convincing explanation.Yet i think the least we can do in our attempt , is to be civil if not respectful, calling the teachings of a religious leader 'bullshit' is far from both.

Since you don't substantiate your claims, and since I have studied Islam and know they are false, it seems you are using this question as a forum to promote hatred.
Why do you like hatred? A bit of in-depth study on your part would show that you don't have to hate Islam if you don't want to.
But I bet it's easier for you to stay in the dark instead of facing the complex truths concerning the socio-economic conditions of modern muslim countries and the social and political conditions of early Islam.
It's like they say: having no knowledge is bad, having just a little is dangerous.

I doubt there is a contradiction
even if I explain it you will not understand
but let us start with this
care to give an example where he "was a plunderer and murderer, and promotes murder and Jihad for those who don't agree with him" so we can find a good starting point?
God bless

strange.... so you have read the Quran and ignore all the other verses that talk about worshiping one God, give charity, evidences, kindness toward paretns, neighbhours, believe in all prophets of God, all holybooks, forgiviness.... and you provide us with this?
what is the different between you and the media? both of you hide the truth and show what you desire for the purpose to put Islam down.
Quran 6:151
[151] Say (O Muhammad (peace be upon him)) "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited you from: Join not anything in worship with Him; be good and dutiful to your parents; kill not your children because of poverty - We provide sustenance for you and for them; come not near to Al-Fawâhish (shameful sins, illegal sexual intercourse) whether committed openly or secretly; and kill not anyone whom Allâh has forbidden, except for a just cause (according to Islâmic law). This He has commanded you that you may understand.
