I'm not sure if this is true but i've been told (by my mum) that there is a website where you can get a code put it into your dvd player and it becomes multi-regional. Does anyone know about this or know the website?

Most DVD players can be made multi-regional using the manufacturers built in 'hack code'. Just put the make and model, plus 'multi-region hack' (or similar) into your search engine for the required method. Many new DVD players are actually multi-region straight from the box.

Please be aware though, cheaper DVD players (Alba, Goodmans, Cyberhome, Luxor, Bush, Aigo, Venturer, etc) are 'region locked' and cannot be made multi-region by any method. This is one of the reasons why they are cheap...
