There is no confusion with the Trinity, except in the minds of those who do not understand the nature of God.
Imagine trying to convert Arabic into English, man cannot do that accurately. It is even harder trying to convert "God-Speak" into "Man-Speak". For this God gives himself, the Holy Spirit, to help people understand his word. God speaks all languages, most of all the language of a person's heart. God knows how you need to understand his words so that you may live life rightly.
Without the Holy Spirit people cannot understand scripture and will always make a mess of it. It does not matter what language you study in when the Holy Spirit is with you.
You can think of the Holy Spirit as the mind of God.
Since people are constantly making a mess of God's word God gave us his heart to be broken and bleed for us, that we might know the forgiving nature of God.
Just as a person has a mind and a heart and a being but is not a person without all so God has the Holy Spirit and the Messiah and these three are one.
A person can separate out the physical heart from their body, and the brain can also be removed. This metaphor is not exact since the Messiah and the Holy Spirit cannot be separate from God. They are as much God as a person's soul is the person.
Remember that people are created in the image of God and without the Mind of God, people are about as smart compared to God as an image or picture is about as smart as a people.
God is to people as people are to photographs. This is why you are confused and why, without the Holy Spirit, I too am confused.
Without God we understand nothing. With God we understand everything God has us understand.

No.The Church of the First Three Centuries says: "The doctrine of the Trinity was of gradual and comparatively late formation; . . . it had its origin in a source entirely foreign from that of the Jewish and Christian Scriptures; . . . it grew up, and was ingrafted on Christianity, through the hands of the Platonizing Fathers."
By the end of the third century C.E., "Christianity" and the new Platonic philosophies became inseparably united. As Adolf Harnack states in Outlines of the History of Dogma, church doctrine became "firmly rooted in the soil of Hellenism [pagan Greek thought]. Thereby it became a mystery to the great majority of Christians."
The church claimed that its new doctrines were based on the Bible. But Harnack says: "In reality it legitimized in its midst the Hellenic speculation, the superstitious views and customs of pagan mystery-worship."
In the book A Statement of Reasons, Andrews Norton says of the Trinity: "We can trace the history of this doctrine, and discover its source, not in the Christian revelation, but in the Platonic philosophy . . . The Trinity is not a doctrine of Christ and his Apostles, but a fiction of the school of the later Platonists."
Thus, in the fourth century C.E., the apostasy foretold by Jesus and the apostles came into full bloom. Development of the Trinity was just one evidence of this. The apostate churches also began embracing other pagan ideas, such as hellfire, immortality of the soul, and idolatry. Spiritually speaking, Christendom had entered its foretold dark ages, dominated by a growing "man of lawlessness" clergy class.—2 Thessalonians 2:3, 7.
It is a shame that church people who believe in the trinity either do not know or they refuse to accept the fact that the trinity is not a Bible teaching. According to the Athanasian Creed which defines the trinity, MUCH MORE is involved than just saying the Father, Son, and holy spirit are all God. All "persons" of the trinity must be of the same substance, eternity, and power. Take a look at Matt. 28:19, one trinitarian "proof." Where in this verse does it say the Father, Son, and holy spirit are all God and that they are co-equal, co-eternal, and almighty? It doesn't say that at all.
The trinity is a false doctrine.

Friend you are as confused, The trinity doctrine came from the catholic church in around 312 to 325 AD, Jesus Christ never talk about there being 3 person co-equall in the God head, God & the Holy Ghost is the same spirit, Only working as the Holy Ghost as the comfortor. You have God as the creator & then God in Jesus Christ reconciling the world back unto himself & God as the Holy Ghost as the comfortor. But all done by The ONE SPIRIT. & God & the Holy Ghost is not a person, they are a Spirit.

Dear Friend,
The Trinity doctrine was taught by some Churches as fact. But however it has no scriptural basis whatsoever. The bible is very clear on when Jesus is speaking and when his Father is speaking.
Why not try reading the book of Mark, it is a great place to begin your journey of Salvation!
God Bless

You are so confused. If you read the Bible it is very clear who is speaking and it is the word of God. The trinity s unclear to those who follow the Qu'ran only because it repeatedly denys Jesus...If you read the books of the prophets you will se who Jesus was prophesied to be...Many waited for him for thousands of years. Isaiah says the Messiah would atone for sin with his death. Isaiah was a prophet of God and his words are the words are the words of God he did not add his opinion he was a prophet of God as such he made prophesies...This prophesy has come true and Muhammad did not understand it and disagreed wiht who Jesus was...If your ead the Bible and do not compare it to the Qu'ran but seek God and see if it is true then compare you will find that the Qu'ran is not the true word of God and is not in agreement with God. Muhammad knew some things about the Bible but other things he did not understand.

im sorry friend, but that is not where the trinity idea came from.
and there are many passages that can be found where Jesus implies that he is God. and in the beginning God the father claims to be God. and also the Holy Spirit is referred to as God. this is where the idea arose.
look here http://www.gotquestions.org/Trinity-Bible.html
i think this will help ALOT

The entire Bible is the Word of God. It is always God speaking through his prophets. Jesus is God; therefore, when Jesus speaks it is God speaking. Jesus is the incarnation of God on earth. (Romans 8:3)

The trinity actually came from the Hindu system and the Judaic system... it is relatively similar.
The Supernals : KTR, ChKMH, BNH
The Hindu Trinity : Brahma, Shiva, Krishna (is that right?)
The Christian Trinity : Father, Mother (Holy Spirit), Son
The Scientific Trinity : Thesis, Anti-thesis, Synthesis

You sound stupid. The bible tells you the truth but you're just not getting it. Try and read it with more understanding. Here's an idea, pray and ask for understanding from God before you begin to read and you will receive God's knowledge, maybe then you will understand it. God bless you.

The word "Trinity" does not exist anywhere in the whole Bible, but it is mentioned in the Glorious Qur’an in the following places:
a. In Surah Nisa chapter 4 verse 171
"Say not ‘Trinity’: desist:
It will be better for you for
Allah is one God."
[Al-Qur’an 4:171]
b. A similar message is repeated in Surah Maidah chapter 5 verse 73
"They do blaspheme who say
Allah is one of three
In a Trinity: for there is
No god except One God.
If they desist not
From their word (of blasphemy),
Verily a grievous penalty
Will befall the blasphemers
Among them."
[Al-Qur’an 16:125]
The closest verse regarding "Trinity" in the Bible, has now been thrown out of the Bible
The verse in the Bible which is closest to "Trinity" and is often quoted by Christian missionaries is the first Epistle of John, chapter 5 verse no 7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost; and these three are one."
In the Revised Standard Version of the Bible (R.S.V.) revised by 32 Christian scholars of the highest eminence backed by 50 different co-operating denominations, this verse which is the keystone of the Christian faith has been removed as an interpolation, as a fabrication and as a concoction. It has not been expunged from the Revised Standard Version of the Bible by the Muslims or by non-Christian scholars, but by 32 Christian scholars of the highest eminence backed by 50 different cooperating denominations as an interpolation, as a concoction and as a fabrication because this verse does not exist in the original manuscript. We Muslims must congratulate the galaxy of D.D.’s (Doctors of Divinity) who have been honest enough to eliminate another lie from the English R.S.V. Bible, thus bringing it closer to the teachings of Islam and the Glorious Qur’an.
Jesus (pbuh) never spoke about Trinity i.e. three in one. On the contrary he says in:
a.The Gospel of Mark ,chapter 12, verse 29
"Shama Israelu Adonai Ila Hayno Adonia Ikhad"
It is a Hebrew quotation which means:
"Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord."
b.The Gospel of John, chapter 14 verse 28
"My father is greater than I."
c.The Gospel of John, chapter 10 verse 29
"My Father... is greater than all."
d.The Gospel of Mathew, chapter 12, verse 28
"… I cast out devils by the Spirit of God…."
e.The Gospel of Luke, chapter 11 verse 20
"…I with the finger of God cast out devils…."
f.The Gospel of John, chapter 5 verse 30
"I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me."
2.The Catechism of the Church
a.According to the Catechism of the Christian Church, "The Father is a person, the Son is a person, and the Holy Ghost is a person; but they are not three persons but one person." Person, person, person but not 3 persons but 1 person! What language is this? 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 and not 1. 1 x 3 = 3 and not 1. What makes a person different than the other person? It is his personality.
b.If we have three identical triplets and one of them commits murder, should we hang the other two? The answer is ‘No’, because he is a different person having a different personality.
c.When the Christians speak about the Father in Heaven they have a certain mental picture in mind, of an elderly man some what like Santa Claus sitting on one of the planets with the earth as his foot stool. When they speak about the son, they have a certain mental picture in their mind. A tall handsome man, who has a beard and long hair; somewhat like Jeffery Hunter who did the role of Jesus (pbuh) in the film ‘King of Kings’. When they speak about the Holy Ghost they have a certain mental picture in mind like that of a dove that came upon Jesus (pbuh) when he was baptised or like a spirit at the feast of Pentecost. If we ask the Christians "How many mental pictures do you have when you speak about Trinity?" they say "We have only one picture". They lie when they say this, for 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 and not 1.
