software has to have certain things to work

in automobile terms - say you needed a Jeep - but had a mustang - the mustang runs fast - but doesn't have 4x4 and will get stuck

with a computer software - may need 1 gig of RAM to work right
....any thing less is a disaster
may need 80 Megs of Memory to load the full program - if you only have 40 free - it will not work to the fullest extent

may need a sound card

may need a certain level of Operating System (OS)
.. if it needs Windows ME, or XP
will not run on WIN98 or WIN95

sometimes people buy the computer first - then their software
need to look at what you are going to run - then buy the computer
around it

best of luck!
