its pretty simple really. unless you have a microtower with no space for a second drive your in good shape. first, obtain the second drive. next open your computer. the first drive needs to be examined. the ribbon cable from the drive needs to have an open joint. if it has no second joint youll need to get another cable. then you need to look at the back of your drive. if you cant see it, then disconnect it and look at it when you take it out. the drive will have a small clip called a jumper. the top or first drive needs to be set on master and the new one needs to be on slave. then connect it to the open joint and mount it. the other problem youll have is sound. if you want sound from the drive and you are using ultra ata or modern type cabling with windows xp, no problem it will be automatic. if your using older programming or older cabling you will need a sound cable to connect directly to the sound card. without knowing what computer you have, i cant be much more helpful here. you also need to check it with my computer to see if youve installed it right. if you have, you will see two drive icons..and they should recognize and play a disc. i quick way to recognize if you have it right is to get a test cd and play it in both drives. if it works, your in business. good luck.

Buy another one. It's stated in the manual (of course there is when you buy one) just check your voltage (i don't really know this i've heard it from my father) or if you want buy an external one. Its more good because its connected via usb cable. But its more costly i think.
