In my eyes everybody here in germany we get a wrong impression about u.s.-american girls and woman.

Here we think now every woman is breast implanted and not that smart and not that pretty.

And the us-guys are tit-focused. hehe

I'm not 100% clear about your question, so I'm not sure if this answers you or not. But, I have to say that I have seen the show "Next" and I think it is absolutely ridiculous. It's pretty obvious that the whole thing is set up by producers to try to achieve an entertaining segment - it's not reality TV by a long stretch of the imagination.

First of all, the men and women who are chosen to participate in the show are not representative of "average" people. They are actors or wanna-be actors or exhibitionists. They are obviously on TV because they want to be in front of the camera and they want to appear weird or sexy or whatever they are trying to portray. They are more like characters or caricatures of real people.

Secondly, the premise of the show is ridiculous. No one goes on a date like that. The men and women on that show know that they are being judged and evaluated and they make fun of each other and they can sometimes be mean or nasty. That's not real - that's just the way the show is set up. You can tell that even the group of people who are hanging out in the van, waiting to see what happens, they are obviously being prompted to do funny things or say funny things for the camera to make a more interesting TV show. It's almost scripted.

So, I think you are right about this - Americans are not really like the characters that you see on that show. Even though MTV may bill it as a "reality" show - NEXT is nowhere near real.
