Which type of cable is a dvi audio cable? Is it the same as an optical audio cable?

I need to connect an hd box to my Tv which has no hdmi. It just has dvi and a dvi audio in as well as a spidif connection.

There is no such a thing as DVI audio cable. Connect your set-top box audio out to the TV's DVI audio in using a standard RCA audio cable (Red/white plugs). On the TV side, some TVs need an RCA-to-PC audio adaptor which you can get from Radio Shack. To use s/pdif from your set-top box, you need to connect it to an AV receiver.
