Do you know the date that she was bred?
Generally, once milk production has started ,labor will follow within 24 hours. However, knowing when she was bred is key...Dogs are only pregnant for 63 days, so if you notice milk alot sooner than that or nothing by day 65 you should seek treatment.
Our dog had puppies a few weeks ago , but her milk flow came in 2 weeks before her due date and she ended up with a severe mastitis infection(infected mammories )by the time the pups actually arrived.

Good Luck!

Your dog can strat forming milk when she strats to have them. Or it just depends she can have milk the day she is going to have them. If she does not still have milk while she is having them giver her a shot of Oxytocin. Oxytocin will help her produce milk. Which you can get form your vet.
