When Jesus came, he elevated matrimony to the same status it had originally possessed between Adam and Eve--the status of a sacrament. Thus, any valid marriage between two baptized people is a sacramental marriage and, once consummated , cannot be dissolved. Jesus, therefore, taught that if anyone so married divorces and remarries, that person is living in perpetual adultery, a state of mortal sin.

Jesus taught that marriage is sacred and that it is permanent. The law allowed for divorce, but only in the instance of fornication. This is often misinterpreted to mean adultery. Adultery is not fornication. Fornication is sex outside of marriage. Adultery is lack of faithfulness in a marriage. In ancient times it was presumed that in a proper relationship that a woman was a virgin when she got married. If she misrepresented herself to her betrothed it would be discovered on the wedding night. The bridegroom had the choice of forgiving his bride or suing for divorce. In the case of adultery, the offended partner must always forgive the offending partner. The gospel of Jesus Christ is about forgiveness, not perfect living. Jesus is very specific when it come to marrying a divorced person whose spouse is still living. This is a hard thing to take in our modern society where the divorce rate is over 50%, but Jesus does not make any exception. Nowhere in the New Testament (to my knowledge) does it say that the blood of Jesus erases the stigma of divorce. Jesus is not going to contradict himself. Therefore, I believe that it is not Biblical for a divorcee to remarry while his/her ex-spouse is still living. I do not believe that the blood will cover this sin. Those who are saved and commit this sin do not loose their salvation, but they will have problems in their marriage and will have to answer to God for the realtionship.

Lord Jesus taught that God put together the man and the woman. They have not to divorce.
For a long time people is not listening God's Word, this world, 90% or 99% of all the human beings are living without GOD. We deserve what we have!
If we understand the truth and go back to GOD we can be saved.
May HIS LIGHT be with us all and help all of us be REAL CHRISTIANS!

God hates divorce.....the covenant of marriage is sacred and all means to keep it should be practiced. In the event a spouse is unfaithful....there is a means out...because God wants His children to be happy.....forgiveness is not to be disregarded...but if one refuses to repent and continues to be unfaithful...there is a not any law that requires the marraige to continue....
