Is this dangerous ,as 8 is the rec amount ,thanks for time and answers.

yes, that's probably okay but don't do it too often or you will damage your liver!
My 2 year old daughter once drank a whole bottle of calpol & when I took her to hospital they tried to make her sick, but she wasn't so they just said okay, probably wont do her any harm (that's why they make the bottles of calpol small so that can't overdose).

Not as a one off its not dangerous no. I must admit I've taken excess paracetamol in the past for example if I've run out of co-codamol or ibruprofen.
Like anything else painkillers taken in excess can cause damage to your liver... but it wont cause any harm unless you are taking that amount regularly, say on a daily basis.
Perhaps if paracetamol doesnt work for you, talk you your doctor or the pharmasist to see if they can recommend something else. If you need to take 12 paracetamols they obviously aren't doing their job for you. They do nothing for me either, i stick to taking 1 ibruprofen, which works better than 4 paracetomols for me.
But do seek medical advice before you decide what painkiller is best for you xx The pharmasist will know better than I do :)

Paracetamols should be taken every 4 hours. It means you are about to take 6 tablets in order to maintain your 24 - hour medication. 12 paracetamols is so much. Anyway, paracetamols don't have serious adverse reactions.

You can take Ibuprofen in between Paracetamol doses instead perhaps. Also if your symptoms are really really bad you can double up by taking 2 Paracetamol and 2 Ibuprofen at the same time. I was told I could do this by a doctor when my temperature wasn't shifting.
You should really see your doctor tho if this continues.

definitely gonna have an overdose. paracetamols are taken 3 times a day at most.

are u mad. why consume 12 parcetamol in 24 hours. its very harmful. if ur health was too bad, u could have consult an ayurvedic doctor and could have took ayurvedic medicines instead of doing so.
that would me nice and would not cause side effects to ur body.

It's not seriously dangerous, it's just not recommended. Once in a while won't hurt

yes it can be, you could overdose, And this is not nice, Paracetamol are not like other tablets, If you do overdose all your organs shut down and it cannot be reversed like other tablets, where they can pump your stomach
