Isn't it preferable to believe things we can have some tangible or meaningful knowledge of, things we can investigate and come to some practical conclusion if they are real or not.
Theology makes some mighty impressive and certain claims... based on thin air or faith.
If there is a God nobody can have any meaningful knowledge of what God is or what God entails or whether God has as a plan of any kind, isn't it better to stick with thing we can have some meaningful knowledge of like natural history etc.
