Naw, I used to think like that. In the Crusades era and for a time around a 100 years back that stuff did happen, Corruption in the church and all. But now I'm confident they're using it to help other parishes and the poor community in our place at least since I see results.:)

no need to be crass but you can be right to some extent.
any organizations can be subject to abuse of power since it is run by imperfect humans who can be greedy and selfish.
but i believe many who belong to the organizations usually have sincere motives. it is the leaders you have to watch out for.
