The Dr. gave me the option of getting it over with and having the two surgeries done at once or doing them separately. I would like to just get it over with and have them done together but I have a small child at home and not much help around so I was wondering if the recovery is that bad where it would be make it very hard to take care of my child? The dr. said recovery is harder when the two surgeries are done at once.

Consider the fact you will undergo general anasthesia only once if you have both procedures at the same time. Why do something risky twice?
I would have both operations at once. Pain can be managed quite easily, you will end up taking fewer pain meds over the long run.
You will also spend less time out of commission and recovery will be over with; it won't take two recoveries.

the doc is right, but sometimes it could also be cheaper for you in the long run, speak to the doc. Maybe HE can help you getting a bit of assistance, at home during recocery!! it is possible to get some home help during recovery time, just try, and if He can arrange, then What are you waiting for

No, one must go first. After recovering from the first surgery, the second one follows so that it wouldn't be difficult for you.
