Either dial 141 before the number or ring BT sales on 150 and have caller ID withheld on all calls, optional service, costs nowt.

In the uk you dial 141 first. you could also contact your service provider and ask for privacy and secrecy to be set up on your account. i have this and it's great it stops all those annoying phone calls and automatically withholds your number from others.

First dial 141 on your keypad followed by the phone number you wish to connect too and they will not receive your number.
