Save your photos as a 'jpeg' (option should be offered when you try a 'save as'
you can either copy and paste it into your email or click attach at the bottom of your email.
when you have clicked attach you will be asked to browse for the file you wish to attach. Just go to where you saved the jpeg
Hope that helps

Be wary of sending full sized photos as they can take an age to send and will fill the other persons inbox. Its best to keep the original safe, make a copy and resize that to send. It only needs to be 600 x 400 pixels or so to be seen on a pc screen.
You can use Irfanview to resize a copy, its free for home use.

Then open your e-mail program, write the mail and look for the 'attatchments' button - where it is depends on which program you're using.
You usually have to browse to where the photo is stored and click it to select.
Theres also usually a Help section so check that out.

First you should make sure the photo is in Jpeg format & is not much more than 100/120 mb, you may want to make a copy and play around with the copy to reduce the size.
then follow the instructions given in other answers ie click on the attach button at the bottom of your e-mail page, select browse, search for your reduced size picture, when found select open - your picture has been attached.

When your email program is open. select to "create" or "compose" a new message. find "attach" or a paper clip looking icon. click browse(you will have to know where the file is on your computer) select the file(usually by double clicking or open button). click attach again if gives you the option or place a check by it if it gives you the option or both if it gives you the option. I may take some time load it into the message after this depending on how big the file is. You will know it worked if there if a reference to a paper clip icon or something indicating an attachament when you return to your message. it will usually be under the CC: or TO: field .

At the bottom of the email box there'll be a smaller one saying 'attach file', click on that then go to Your Pictures or wherever you have your pictures stored and then click on open, that should attach them to your email. Click Send as usual when you've finished writing the email and the system will automatically compress your pictures and send them along with the text.

What e-mail are you using?
Almost all e-mails are the same. There is a button labelled attach when you compose an e-mail. When you press on it, you will get a dialog box where you chose the file you want to attach and press ok.

Most of the time click the ATTACH icon then search for the file / photo you want to attach. The icon usually looks like a paper clip. Other than that it might say "attach file"
good luck
