She initially used a tint mixed with 3% peroxide and let me sit for 1 hour. When rinsed my hair was orangey and very bright. My hair has been previously bleached by the way.
So she went to the shop next door and bought "nice and easy " dark brown, put that on my hair for 30 minutes then rinsed, blowdried, straightened etc.
When I left the salon my hair seemed fine but when I got home I realised it was very green in the light and my family were asking why did I dye it green, I am very, very upset. I dont mind going back to complain but I am not asking her for a correction as she will probably just completely ruin my hair.
My hair is very dry and tangled now. I will start doing conditioning treatments at home but what can i do to get my hair to be dark brown which is what I wanted in the first place?
Can I buy the same nice and easy in a golden or warm tone and rectify it? I plan to trim the damage of an inch at a time.

There is a product called colour reducer and I would be inclined to ask the manageress of the salon to put that on your hair. Not only will it take the awful green tinge out of your hair it will make it more manageable until your hair is better condition.
You could have a rinse run through your hair for the time being until you decide what colour you are going to go for. Though if it were me I would have my hair lightened to match my skin tone. Not only will this give you more confidence but also it will make your hair look better and feel in better condition so easier to manage.
There is absolutely no problem with home hair products if used correctly and if the hairdresser had known what she was doing it would have turned out fine. What she should have done is put the colour pigmentation back into your hair before putting on a dark colour over bleached hair (i.e. red tones) any hair dresser worth their salt would know this.
No go back and complain and demand compensation and not just the cost of getting it put right. Go now do not leave it and do not put any other pproduct on your hair not even a conditioner otherwise the manageress of the salon may accuse you or making your hair look worse.
All the best!

go back and ask for a refund the hair stylist should of re pigmented your hair first cause if you try to dye bleached hair with out a repigment it will go green any hair stylist worth her salt that actually listened during training would know this !! also why did a stylist go and buy a box job to put on your head anyway the whole world knows these are harsh on hair and to do it right after colouration this explains why your hair has become a nightmare !!! you dont want to keep dying your hair now because condition is only going to get worse ! my sudjestion is to go to another salon and ask them to strip that colour out and fix it for you ! really hard to tell you how to fix it at home with out actually seeing your hair ! but deffinatley demand refund from the half wit that did it in first place hope this is of some help to you !! good luck huni :)

The fact that she went and bought 'Nice and Easy' just shows she was a rubbish hairdresser! My best piece of advice to you would be DON'T HOME DYE! Not until you get a colour you like and can maintain, and until the bleach completely grows out. Go to a reputable hairdresser (even if it seems pricey - you get what you pay for!) and tell them what happened, I'm sure they'll get you a perfect multi-tonal colour that you love! And if any hairdresser you use EVER uses home dye products, demand your money back and run away as fast as you can!

Go back and complain - at least get a refund and try for the cost of corrective treatment. Find a better salon and ask their advice. I wouldnt try anything myself as your poor hair's already been through a lot and you could make it worse. I cant believe they just went and bought an over the counter jobby!

Go back to the salon, talk to the manager and have someone else do the correction. I wouldn't want the person who screwed t up to touch it. I am afraid that you may further damage your hair if you try to fix it yourself. A friend had something similar happen, it was awful, it wa very green. But she had them strip it out? It worked, but he hair took a beating and was very dry and damaged.

You can not change the color immediately because it will damage it. Wait for 2 weeks. In this period use special treatment for dry hair and after you will See an improvement you can change the color again until then it is very dangerous.

go back to the hairdresser & ask for a refund as you're just not happy with your green hair, or complain to her boss. you pay for a good quality hair dye/hairdo & the customer (you), are not satisfied.
