Raw rice...eat it you get diarhea <- don't know the proper spelling
Boiled rice..cooked right..its nice with side dishes...

So I definately go for boiled rice...
But! when you wash raw rice..the water is good for your face..haha..

1 cup raw rice = 3 cups boiled rice

Boiled rice used to be cheaper, it is the rice from which some starch is extracted out and was used as cattle feed during famines people started experimenting with it for human consumption. Now it is available for human consumption, they take batter care drying, storing and packaging.

Most people are not introduced to boiled rice, you can see it from the response, I did not understand the Q? at first but then it light up my mind.

Most people know only raw rice and cook them by boiling in water with or without slight salt.

It does taste and smell different.

The difference between raw-rice and boiled-rice is that:
Raw-rice:
Cooks faster. And when cooked too much gets mushy.
It is very thin and polished. And white in colour.
Contains more starch
Not good of people suffering of blood-sugar.

Boiled-rice:
Looks fat and is not polished. brownish in colour.
Contains less starch
takes longer time to cook and does not get mushy when overcooked.
Good for health compared to raw-rice.

Raw Rice---Polished white rice where the husk, bran and germ has been removed before polishing.
Boiled Rice--- Parboiled Rice. This rice is steamed and dried with the husk before polishing.
The boiled rice is very healthy as it retains the nutrients .
In South India this rice is prefered as it healthier than white rice.

Raw rice is much better for filling bean bags.
Boiled rice is much better for eating. Raw rice is too crunchy to eat.

Raw rice is better when it is cooked and boiled rice is nice and so is steamed rice
