My police friend who I have known for several years… knocks on my door with three police officers and tells me he has bad news about my girlfriend. I was like what is it—is she okay? And he said she doesn’t exist according to the system. What should I do? I have a girlfriend with counterfeit identity?

You could tell her what happened and see if she has an explanation you are willing to believe. Maybe she goes by a different name. No one in my family calls my brother by his first name, so much so that when I hear it I have a momemt of, "oh yeah, I forgot thats your real name." Oh, and LMAO to the person that asked if you bought her a Valentine.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe a word of that question.
First of all, most cops know that it is against department policy to run people through the system for personal reasons. But, some do anyway, so I'll give you that one. If the Officer did run your girlfriend for you, why would he show up at your house at all, much less with 3 other Officers? Why wouldn't he just call you? Next, there are plenty of people who "aren't in the system." People get put into "the system" several different ways - by calling the police to report a crime, by having police contact as a suspect, or by being arrested. Just existing doesn't automatically put someone in "the system." At least the question was somewhat entertaining.

Im with dh1977 on this one.

People are "in the system" if they have had any sort of contact with police. either by commiting a crime, reporting a crime, Witnessing a crime, etc... Being "in the system" is not necessarily good or bad. it just means the police have dealt with and had contact with you in some way in the past.

"Not being in the system" is just the same. neither good nor bad. It just means that police department has no record of having dealt with the girlfriend before. Maybe she's June Cleaver, who knows. It is not a crime to "not be in the system" and sure as hell three police officers are not going to come knocking because of it.
The asker is either
A) making this up
B) misrepresenting the facts
C) on crack
D) All of the above

The first thing you do is ask her if she is carrying a weapon. If she is, find a clever way to drop the subject. If she is not, ask her her mom's middle name or can she hear her dad fart from the next room over. If her answers do not sound sincere and appear to be made up, then run for your life because she is an independant spy for a foreign government, attempting to steal all of your top secret information, and your video games and stuff. If her answers sound sincere and do not appear to be made up, then run for your life because they are all foreign spies and have fake identities, and have practiced using them for years, awaiting the right moment to infiltrate your garage and knock over your cool stuff.

Or you could just turn her in.

This story doesn't make any sense but I would say if she's hot try to keep her as a side dish but I wouldn't invest to much money in her if she is a fraud.

Get her sent to jail, tried & beheaded.

Your policeman friend seems to be a very nice chap checking up on your girlfriend then going round to you with 3 other coppers.

Remember coppers do not have any friends they are trained to be friends with their own kind only.

Be careful of your friend the copper he will see his mother in Prison.

You help your girlfriend get legit

Good luck
