why is it that to some people,love is so real when it hurts?
for example,sticking to a cheatin partner when its all plain
that hes cheatin on you?
why is it that some people have a tendency to become
attracted to the unavailable/a taken partner and are so addicted to the drama of heartbreak?
why oh why! make me understand!

Some people suffer from poor self-esteem. They feel that they can't be loved for themselves, so to keep love, they endure unreasonable situations.

I sure would like to answer your question but I doubt if anyone can truely say what it is. I can give some reasons but it goes much deeper than this.
For some women in some cultures it is accept that the man has his sex friends or leave with no way of suporting yourself and the children. For some there is no choice.
Some are very afraid to go and try again. Really afraid to change even when they are getting abused a lot.
Some have this mother thing and think they can change the man into what they want.
Yes for some reason women are attracted to the bad boys.
Many women are affraid of their mates and will not dare do anything to up[set them. I do mean real fear.
There are many other factors but just why it happens in the begining is anyones guess. I sure do not know.
Another thing that bothers me is that so many say love hurts. Why should it hurt if you love another. The hurt in most cases is not for the other but out of selfish wants for yourself.
I have had many girlfriends over the years and some have found other lovers while with me so I just said if you like him or them better then good luck and have a good life. Yes some hurt but only for what I lost not for anything the other did.
I have never had hateful feelings to an ex lover. I still like them all and appreciate having known them.
No never married and never will. One for too long is not good. Well not for me anyway.

well people stay with someone when they know they are cheated on because when you are betrayed by your partner you start to question yourself and your worthiness. so if your self esteem is down perhaps you feel this is all you deserve.
second, everybody and i do mean everybody likes a chase. if a guy is taken this may become a challenge. or even a turn on -like your getting away with something. it could also be safe-meaning you dont have to commit because the other person already is.

What you describe happens because people get used to the situation even when it's not a good one. We end up more afraid of being alone or of getting to know someone new. Also, we get used to the crap as being normal. It's time to talk to someone (your choice) that can help you break this habit. It's a bad one and you need support to develop a healthier and happier state of mind so you can get yourself ready for someone who will love and respect you and will not violate your trust but will always make you feel safe!

some people probably just want to add more meaning to their lives by being a martyr to the one they supposedly love. but really, i think, this is because they feel so incomplete and useless that they choose to be with someone whom they can take care of, understand or forgive...
