Belive in it? It's not a ghost or bigfoot, it's a real thing. And by the way, o-p-i-n-i-o-n.

Global warming is happening. 9 of the past 10 winters in the United States have been the warmest (in average) on record. Europe and Australia are both reporting unusually hot years. The overall temperature of the earth has risen by 3 degrees. The polar ice caps are melting at an alarming rate. The seas are already rising--we've already lost several atolls under the waves, and there is an island off of India that was recently evacuated as the sea is threatening to swallow it.

The debate over "belief or not belief" stems from whether and how much humans are responsible for it.

But I personally see no problem in the practice of "prepare for the worst, hope for the best". I myself have been immersed in the self-sufficiency craze for 5 or 6 years now, but I have discovered that there are many places where self-sufficiency and being green meet and shake hands. While my best friend will buy compact florescent light bulbs to save the world, I use them because they require less energy to make the same amount of light, ergo my electric bill is lower. While she goes out and buys vegatarian organic meals to save the planet, I have an organic garden in my back yard because home grown tastes better, and going organic invariably is cheaper for a home garden (not to mention that $1 will either buy me two tomatoes at the grocery store, or two hundred tomatoes in my back yard.) Buying in bulk may save on packaging, but it saves me a buck or two.

Am I concerned about the environment? Sure. I like to breath clean air. I like to be able to eat that fish I just caught in the stream. I'd like to live where a nearby business's industrial chemicals won't give me cancer. But something as big as global warming and global cooling...we stupid humans haven't been on this earth long enough to figure out what is truly going on.

So if you have difficulty getting your hands around the world, then get your hands on your wallet instead. Save a dollar, save the world. (Save the cheerleader? Where did that come from?) Only a complete narcissist bent on "sticking it to those darn hippie liberals" wouldn't want to save a few dollars.

First of all I should say that global warming is not a religion . It is a physical fact and we should get immediate action for it . As statistical data shows that temperature is rising gradually we can not stand without doing nothing . We can do something the slow down this process . There is no way to stop it all for now but we can slow its progress.Sea levels are rrising . There are climate changes all around the world . So there are many signs of global warming you do not need to make a further exploration to a find an evidence . And I watched from news experts say this global warming may lead to a global freezing I mean it may convert to cold a freezing cold . Near to the end we may have to option dying from cold or dying from increased temperatures. These are my opinions . If we do not want to make a death choice we should make our decision now .

Climate change is NOT a topic of debate. It is scientifically proven. People who do not belive in climate changes are idiots, and id love to wipe the floor with thier faces. The earth is not static it changes all the time. At times its hotter than it is now, and at times its cooler. The earth is constantly changing. Now wether man is causing global warming is proven as well. The earth warms up naturally on its own. But in the last 600,000 years the c02 level has never been over 300ppm. Today it is at 380ppm. Shocking is it not? Now you tell me that that higher c02 level is not caused by man. There is not extreme volcanic activity to produce the higher c02 levels and forest fires have not been increased too much in the last 100 years. Now deforestation plays an important role in climate changes as well. The point is that we are accelerating climate change at a rate that is not natural. We do not cause climate change, we are contributing to it. That is a proven fact. Look at teh climate graph over the last 600,000 years. When c02 levels go up, the temperature goes up. How can anyone deny that? The graphs arent skewed, they are accurate. No one is trying to lie to us. Dont tell me that all the scientists of the world are telling us lies because the oil industry tells them to. The deniers are just trying to make themselves feel better for desroying the earth. They are a bunch of conspiracy people who are convinced that the media has been convincing us that we are warming the earth, as a distraction from other political issues like the war in Iraq. Right now everyone on the earth could be driving an electric car which saves over 33% emissinos over a gasoline powered car. These cars have a range of 180miles which is pretty good. Plug in hybrid cars would be even better, again, they are not made availible to use because the oil industry wants to develop a over 100 trillion dollar industry. watch the movie who kiled the electric car, it is quite interesting. Soon we will hit a tippping point where the co2 levels will hit 1400ppm(caused by methane release from arctic permafrost melting) and then we will be in deep trouble, asuming we dont enter an ice ages before the permafrost melts. I could go on forever about this but i think ive hit hte key points.

Global warming theory is like a false religion. You need to blindly "believe" in it and ignore all facts.

Mr. Al Gore's movie left out these facts:
1) 6,000 years ago, the earth was hotter than it is today. 6,000 years is less than a second when compared with the age of the earth.

2) Temperatures dropped in the 1950's and 1990's when CO2 levels were increasing.

3) 140,000 years ago the earth had record CO2 levels and there were no gasoline powered cars.

4) 20,000 years ago, Canada was one big ice cube and half of the U.S. was covered with Ice. The grand canyon was formed by melting ice ages over 20 million years.

5) The temperature of the Earth has only increased by 0.65 of a degree in the last 110 years. There were faster increases in temperatures around 10,000 years ago and there were no gasoline powered cars during that time

6) It has not been scientifically proved. Scientists who disagreed from with the theory were not invited to contribute to Al Gore's movie nor were they invited to the conference about global warming.

7) NASA has said that great temperature changes are normal. Just 15,000 years ago, the earth warmed up extremely in less than 20 years. There were not many people around at that time.

NASA:
"Rapid changes between ice ages and warm periods (called interglacials) are recorded in the Greenland ice sheet. Occurring over ONE OR TWO DECADES, the warming of the Earth at the end of the last ice age "

Notice the temperature changes around 15,000 years ago and 12,000 years ago:

Yes, I beleive there is global warming. It has been scientifically proven and obvious with all of the unusual weather conditions. There is a movie out called "An Inconvenient Truth" by x-Vice President Al Gore ( I think) that is supposed to be er educational on this subject. Have not seen it yet, but plan to.

The fact that so-called "global warming" is occurring shouldn't even be open for discussion because it's a proven fact that it isn't occurring.

It's a $5BILLION business in the US alone. And the gvmt scientist that are in charge of the marketing like Dr. James Hanson profit handsomely from maintaining the myth. Hanson received $250,000.00 from John Kerry's PAC before he endorsed Kerry for his presidential run and consults on movie scripts like "incomplete truth" and "climate code" and "it could happen sometime real soon!".

Global warming is a fraud brought to you by the people who brought you the Y2K panic.

Is it happening? Yes. Is the level of CO2 in the atmosphere increasing? Definitely. Are these related? Maybe. Could we do something about it? Not at a price that anyone could afford to pay: the UN proposed a 50-year program to deal with it; the price tag was $557,000,000,000,000 -- far more than the total value of every asset on the entire planet.

The globe is warmed by the green house effect. That is caused by green house gasses like CO2 , CO, methane, etc. Otherwise our earth will be cold. Nowadays CO2 amount is increasing mostly from industrialization. Therefore gloabal warming is happening. I believe earth is bieng warmed. But another thing also happening. That is the ice age. The earth's ice age is coming back again. Therefore the gloabal warming is getting late.

YES because, Scientific experts agree that the Earth’s climate is changing. Climate change, more commonly known as global warming, is caused by the emission of heat trapping gases produced by vehicles, power plants, industrial processes and deforestation. An increase in the average temperature of the earth's atmosphere, especially a sustained increase sufficient to cause climatic change.

Do I believe in glabal warming?! I think global warming is a fact, and it is not a question. Our envrionment, like weather and temp. did change, can say bad I think. This is a fact, and we can feel it. So I think global warming is a fact, is a big problem which faced by all the people in the world.
