All five of my kids, and my husband have the flu. I feel like crap and am coughing, with the shakes like I've seen the rest of my family go through.

so my kids and husband have been running fevers all day... I bought a new ear thermometer...

When I checked my temp, it said 94.3. So I checked my other ear and it said 93.6... so then I checked my daughter who has had a high fever all night and it said 102.9... which I expect from her because she had it up to 105 a couple hours ago... I then checked mine again, and it said 93.4

What does it mean if my temp is dropping??

If you weren't getting sick I would say the low temperature is a symptom of a Hypothyroid (an under active thyroid.) If after you are well, it is still the same, I would get it tested. An under active thyroid is the beginning of a lot of other things, allergies, autoimmune disorder and the list gets longer. Just have it checked after your well. OK? Eyebrows falling out is another symptom. Weird don't you think?

But I also always have low temps.(I have a thyroid condition and all of the above problems. I just didn't now what was going on till I got sick and did a ton of research.)But you are getting sick. Everyone does not run a high temp when they are sick.

Plenty of fluids and a pain reliever every 4 hours and rest. Take care and best wishes to get through this. Make sure you take pain relievers every 3 1/2 to 4 hours to keep yourself as pain free as possible. A hot shower and warm P J's will help you feel the best you can to take care of your family.

If you have one throw a chicken in a big pot of water with seasonings to make plenty of chicken broth for all the family.

Good Luck.

I would suggest your themometer needs replacing. A temp in the ear of 94.3 suggests there may be a problem....get an oral themometer..
