Roman style: Take your meat, and put it in a large plastic zip top bag. Add some good olive oil, several mashed up cloves of garlic, some sea salt and fresh rosemary. Let marinate to absorb the flavors, a day is good but at least an hour should do, then grill over flame till medium rare. Simple and delicious. A salad and any veg goes well with this and a robust red wine.
Very important to start with a good steak though!

Let the steaks unthaw in the refrigerator for the day, combine some red pepper, black pepper, salt, oregano, and garlic salt together and rub this over the steaks. Let them sit about 15 minutes and then put them on a very hot gas grill, after 5 minutes turn themm 1/4 off a turn, do not flip them yet. After another 3-5 minutes flip them over and grill for 5 minutes. Turn them a 1/4 of a turn and grill them for about 5 more minutes. The steaks should then be medium rare. Let the steaks rest for at least 5 minutes before serving, this will ensure that the juices even out through the steak.

Must be quality steak from a good butchers, cook it medium rare, nice and pink in the middle. Season with little black pepper and put a large knob of butter on it before you put it under the grill. If you do have a sauce, serve it seperate. A really good steak will taste great just on its own.

How does he like his steak?
I like mine marinated in olive oil, then seasoned with a little salt and pepper. Do you have an indoor grill? Grilled steaks are so delicious. Cooking in a skillet with Canola oil is good too. Medium well: done but not burned (no pink) like some of these restaurant cooks do.
Sauteed mushrooms are quite tasty along with potato(I prefer french fries).
A nice toss salad with fresh lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onions, etc.
Italian dressing. . .
Something to drink. . .Sierra Mist, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Corona Extra. . .whatever you like. . .
Now I'm getting hungry. . . hope this helps. :-)

Marinade it with salt, pepper, and garlic. Cook in olive oil and drip of red wine to medium rare, add a drip of soy sauce and turn over till evenly coated. Super-simple but it's the best for me. The steak has gotta be really good, tender, and fresh though ;-)

Medium rare to rare baby, off a grill, (use coals, not gas),with A1 sauce, and sauteed mushrooms in butter, on the top. A HUGE salad, and garlic toast, or cornbread. Yeah! Baby! Heaven's delight! OOH! I am getting excited here! Darn you for making me salivate!
