See a dermatologist. The appearance of scars can be improved (not completely eliminated) with laser surgery and even prescriotion cremes and surgery. Laser surgery costs around $300-$1000 per session, depending on the size of the scar and the type of laser used. Generally, you will need more than 1 treatment (perhaps 3 or more) to acheive the desired results. Your dermatologist may be able to perform laser surgery but will definately refer you to someone who can (the machines are expensive and therefore not all clinics have them)

let me start out by saying, why get rid of something that has been apart of you for so long. I my self have a scar across my forehead and at times have wanted it gone, but now realize its been with me forever and it is who i am. I know some people stare at it and wonder why its there, ( and its small ) My scar adds character, I wouldn't spend thousands of dollars to get it removed, i would feel weird with out it. I think first you should try to realize its there and part of you, that it is part of who you are now and changing that would be "silly". If you really are un happy with it, a dermatologist can remove it with a laser. It won't be "gone" gone, and the process will be long and pain full at times. And VERY expensive! Just think about it before you do anything to it. Its part of you, why change that. I think scars are beautiful they tell a story about you, even if it was a bad story or a scary story, its still a story about you and your life. What ever you do i wish you the best!

I would recommend that you see a dermatologist because they specialize in all skin conditions. As for removing the scar you might wanna try some cream first and from i have heard tanning salons are good for the healing of scars.

No creams will work to my knowledge (mederma etc..) but laser will lighten the scar, maybe a chemical peel (acid based) would work just as well. A dermatologist or skin rejuvenation clinic would be best.
