Not true. We can find no evidence of god so far and we have been trying hard. A bank robber does not look intentionally for cops. For the bank robber it's a mater of luck. The implication here is that finding god is a matter of luck.

I'm not sure. It is a stupid question. It doesn't make sense. Are you trying to say Atheists don't look for God. Atheists are not bank robbers. If you are saying Atheist don't look for your fantasy God you are right of course. I notice as hard as you Christians look you don't find him either. Why do you silly Christians say you find God? That is so silly. You don't find God. All you find is a stupid false hope.

RESEARCH DEAZONE????? Give me a break. You guys never "research" anything. You just repeat tired cliches and "pop" science you get from popular culture. Never real science or real critical thinking. Such as: It takes Life to begat life. physical material by itself cant. There MUST be an original Life Source (call it what you want) or we COULD'NT have life now. Its impossible. When you get into this stuff with an atheist, he/she doesnt "research" ANYTHING. They just say to the effect of "Well, I dont know how it all started but I do know, GOD didnt do it. Its unscientific." When ANY scientist will tell you, You MUST have Life to begin with. That is a Law of nature that still stands. Or you could ask them, "What about all of the non-living material in the universe, where did it come from". EVERYTHING that has a beginning HAS to have a CAUSE. So the FIRST cause HAS to be UNCAUSED itself, AND have LIFE within itself. By this time the atheist just says,.."my head hurts, but your an idiot because You believe in God and I'm smart because I dont." It is always the atheist who runs out of answers first, because he doesnt want to understand the IMPLICATIONS of the question....theBerean

False. I am a Christian, I never heard of that one. God promises to reveal Himself to everyone so that they will have no excuses.
It is true that those who want the truth will get the truth and those who want the lies will get lies. When God does reveal Himself, they are commanded to accept the truth at that very moment. However, God is patient, and He gives them freedom to chose Him or not. If they chose to remain an atheist, they do so with their own hypocrisy, knowing that He exists and rejecting God in spite of the absolute proof that they were given. (See Romans 1:19-Romans 2:16.)

In reality, most atheists have searched for god -- probably more extensively than any believer has. We searched for him and he was nowhere to be found.
I started questioning the existence of god when I was 12 years old. In attempts to reconcile my feelings that I had been taught to believe were completely inappropriate, I went on a sort of religious journey. After reading the bible from cover to cover only made me doubt christianity even more, I started exploring other religions ... everything from buddhism to satanism.
Now, at 24, I'm an atheist. It took me awhile to come to terms with that, because the idea of god and satan, heaven and hell, are so drilled into our minds its alot harder to let those things go then you would realize. Once I did, it was so much more rewarding then anything I ever experienced in christianity.
So, the answer to your original question is false.

Such snide haughtiness is not very Christian of you.
It's well known that policemen actively seek and make themselves clearly known to bank robbers. There can be no doubt that policemen exist, nor of their nature, nor do they employ intermediaries whose integrity is suspect. God can't be bothered to get off His fat lazy cloud and do the same, and He is not weighed down by jelly doughnuts.

The dictionary definition of an atheist is simply a person without belief in a god or gods. An infant is an atheist.

i cannot answer for other Atheists. for myself, i believed in god when i was a child because i was taught to. when i grew up and began thinking, i found myself unable to reconcile a just god with this world. i have always stated if god is real and i do stand before him on the day of judgment, it will be me holding judgment against him for all the preventable atrocities in this world.

Hey, another stupid analogy.
Has it ever occured to you that it is possible to have a strong spiritual life without believing in an almighty god?
Do you actually know what the word atheist means?
LAST ENT WIFE:
So, are you saying that the Christian God has chosen to abandon people like me - to NOT come looking for me?
Interesting viewpoint.
Another reason to not believe in a "loving God" who would abandon his creation.

We are not avoiding God. If anything many of us are trying to understand how it could fit into reason. Many of us do not automatically discount a God. We come to our conclusion through research.
