I am 15 years old and I had a boyfriend that is 23, we broke up and now we're talking about getting back together...Is he too old for me? We dont have sex and all we do is makeout, hes never tried to pressure me into anything but all my friends keep saying hes too old.

Thats because your friends are JEALOUS. They are envious of the fact that your lucky enough to go out with an older guy. There is no such thing as someone being 'too young' or 'too old' for you. Thats just society's pressures and negative stigmatism. No one controls your life and who you love except for you. And the fact that he's never pressured you into anything means he truly cares about you. Don't live your life with regrets because you'll never get a second chance. If you love him and he loves you, that's all that matters.

As a former Vampire, Goth Child, I will tell you that Yes he is way too old for you. That even not sleeping with you should be a crime, you should date anyone at your age, and unless your mentally incompent, you should be with some one that much older then you, at your age. At 23 and 31 is far less, and means less, at 31 and 39 there is nothing wrong, but entering teen age years, and getting out, is way too far a distance.

Are you sure he isn't retarded? A 23 year old that is actually attracted to a15 year old kid has to have something mentally wrong with him. Besides, you do realize that what he is doing is against the law? That is considered statutory rape and he could serve jail time. You know you feel that he is too old for you. Don't be too eager to grow up too fast. Find a guy closer to your age who can grow with you. I mean, think about it....are you going to bring this guy to your school events like dances and stuff?

It all depends on whether or not his lifestyle is characteristic of his age. Most people in America who are 23 have lived a life... umm... typical of their age. However, if by some shot in the dark you are his first date ever, I guess there is no problem other than the fact that in most states such an age gap makes such a relationship illegal.

To me the age difference is about right.
What I suggest is that you continue not to have sex & in a year or two if you are still together then you should consider your future.
If you are comfortable with your relationship then continue, don't be troubled by what your friends say.

its perfect to have a bf older than u 5-6 yrs but 8 its not a big deal i think its kinda of ok but if older than that its very hard.dont worry if u love him then the age doesnt matter at all
