We were together for 9 months (long distance), and have been on and off for another 2 years. He knows I love him and I know he loves me, but he tells me all the time that i need to go find someone "good" for me. Im pretty sure he means "taller" than me... Hes extremely insecure about our height difference. So much that he wont even talk about it. I am supposed to go see him in 2.5 weeks, but, hes acting like hes not sure if he wants me to come or not. I can tell hes afraid. Is there anything I can do to make him feel less insecure ? or make me look shorter ? LOL. I know that sounds stupid... but I need help !! I want to spend the rest of my life with him..

Hahahaha. hes definitely not trying to get rid of me. Im the one thats always trying to end things (becuz of my stupid faults), and hes always the one to come running back to me and fixes things.... He calls me CONSTANTLY.... as soon as he gets home from work, I get a call...then we are on and off the phone for HOURS until we go to bed.. He gets MAD AT ME when I go out with my friends and he cant talk to me that night....trust me, that is the LAST thing on his mind...hes had this insecurity since we FIRST got together....were not even together right now..

he doesn't want you. He's using his height as an excuse to dump you.

Yea that height difference would chill a guy out.

Let him know men with taller ladies tend to be more successful. He will get a kick when you tell the other will be thinking, what does this bloke have under the hood? Joke with him Baby Herman in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" did not have a problem dating adult women and he had a 2 year old dinky. I am sure your guy do not have this issue?

Tell him you love him and just get over it so you two can have a wonderful life. It is your sense of humor that will get you through this one.

Call him on it! Don't play into this victim card. Let him know about all the great things about him and don't even worry about acknowledging his height. He'll appreciate you for it, even if he doesn't show it.
