Is it true that an American can work in Canada for 1 year as a once in a lifetime ordeal where you can just work there no strings attached for 1 year maximun and after which you need a work permite?

Is it possible for someone to live in Michigan but go to school in Windsor as an American citizen?

As far as I am aware, that is not true. If you want to work in Canada, you need to have a work visa, even if you don't live in Canada. To attend school in Canada, you would need to have a student visa, whether or not you live in Canada.

Generally, no. US citizens are bound to the same rules as any foreigner. However I have heard about such a case along the Alaska-Yukon border where the kids from a village on the American side were crossing to attend school in Yukon. I have heard this from a third party source so I can't say if there's any actual truth in that.

you can go to school in canada as a international student. why not save the jobs in canada for the canadain unimployed. and dont the have schools in the usa i think i saw 1 there once
