becouse it is the end times and men are seeking their own gratification there is to much knowladge but no trust. we must keep praying for all who do not know Jesus but as that includes many who say they are christian we must pray for the churches also.

Because the sons of God that all creation is waiting has yet to come forth in numbers - Rom 8:19 The sons of God will come forth as kings and priests to bring God's kingdom and rule on earth. People will see and experience Jesus in them and Jesus will be lifted up and draw all men unto Him.

I think because we live in the post-modern world. The world of enlightenment. We believe in what we can see; the world of matter and space. Science is truth, and what is true is only what can be scientifically proven.
The divinity of Jesus can't be scientifically proven, thus a lack of faith.

If you mean why is Western civilization moving away from Christianity?...the main reason is the rise of materialism (the philosophy that science is truth).
This has led to the belief that the Bible has been lessened, if not altogether disproven.
(Of course science is not truth)

I believe that there is a burst in the thirst for more knowledge, and people are taking advantage of that by stepping out of their comfort zone to educate themselves more.

I don't think the numbers are declining ... it depends on where you hang out and what you expose yourself to. Doubt has always existed .... but numbers vary depending on where you spend your time.

What are you talking about? 76% of americans believe in that tripe. I would say there is way to much of it.
