I am just curious if many people believe they choose their own religion or if they believe they were forced into their religion based on family influence/location.

Nope, but it influenced my impatience with christians..

I think that your location of birth has some to do with your religious upbringing, with family having the overall impact. For example, I'm living in a Catholic area (I would assume), yet my family is baptist, but those are just chunks in Christianity. If you live in Japan, you may be Shinto, China you may be Buddhist, and in In Iraq you may Muslim.

As for myself, I didn't keep with my family or local ties.

Yes, I was born in Babylon under King Nebacunezzar. I grew up to be a genie. There aren't any genies in say, Kansas for instance.

If my parents weren't Wiccan, I'd probably be something else, I guess. I can't really imagine it though.
