Is he too old for me ?

Question

I am a 22 year old college student and I have been dating this really hot German guy. He is really nice, educated, and we have a ton in common, but he is 39.


Question:
Do you think he is too old for me, or do you think age is just a number ?


Other Details:
-I am 22 (American, half Swedish and half Japanese) and he is a 39 year old (German, but he has lived in the US for 2 years)
-He is really nice, funny, smart, great looking, and educated (He also has a super sexy accent)
-Even though he is 39 he really looks like he is in his 20s
-We have been dating for about 2 months

Hi, well many people may disagree. I am 22 years old also. I believe that it is okay for you to be attracted to this 39 year old stud :)

Men and woman both have different maturity levels. You are 22, you may be very mature for you age like I am. He is 39 and may look and act a bit younger. If you are interested in him, date him. He deserves a chance. His is NOT old. Because he is older, there is much you can learn from him. Vice Versa actually.

It is up to you girly. :) However, I would disregard other people who are in your life about this matter. If for say, your whole family and some of your friends were against it. You may want to think it through a bit more. Maybe introduce your family and friends. Let them get to know him. But if your family and friends are okay with it. Then as another 22 year old, I see no problem. He may just make you very happy. I believe he deserves a chance.

well age is not the problem what seems to bother is the level of thinking u see this guy is 39 he thinks about things that u dont and will expect u to ralate into it in a mature way whereas u r only 22 u know what u think about...i hope i asnwered ur Q and i dont say u must leave him or it wont work just a problem u might encounter in the future

You should not even be paying attention to a single person that tells you he is too old for you. Age really is just a number. I know for some people it might be an issue, but they need to grow up and get with the times.

If he makes you happy, who the hell cares how old he is? I have been married for 5 years already (extremely happily I might add) with my dream man who is 14 years older than me.

Go for it and enjoy it.

Age is NOT just a number. Age is very important in various circumstances. But he is definitely not too old for you. He's just the perfect age. The good thing about this guy's age is that he's matured enough to guide you in the right path, the path you haven't yet approached.

well if it doesnt bother the two of you...then go for it. im learning and going through this myself as we speak (read my question my about age difference). i think that you guys should be in a relationship if thats what the two of you want regardless of your age. i mean yes, its a big difference but if you guys share a lot of the same likes andhave lots in common and he acts younger then he is...why not. you only live once. you live, and you learn...right?! i mean thats like with my situation being she is 18 and me being 28...i act a lot younger than i am as well. it just happens and i cant help that im drawn/attracted to her.

I think it is just a number. if you both love eachother age shouldn't matter (18+). Many people who are married have a great age difference. It is not uncommon so you shouldn't think it is wierd.
