Turning water into wine, parting seas, and rising from the dead... Why is it that none of that goes on today?

Apparently it does....he faith heals through the TV.

I wonder how many of those miracles were examined scientificaly?

Most of the miracles as told in the legends are a symbolic represantations of higher logic which could not be explained to the mass of that time due to lower intelligence.

A lot of religous philosophies around the world are told in legends and mythology to make it interesting and simple.

You should understand the philosophical basis of any religion before attempting to go through legends and mythology associated with the particular religion.

Plus, people back then had more faith in God. Faith is God!

Perhaps the answer for evolution is pertinent here, how does it go?
Let us see, evolution magic arose in conditions that no longer exist and were uniquely perfect and ripe for it way back then, the conditions now disprove it and would make it violate "natural laws"
You must not consider yourself real because you are a miracle buddy, and the self organization of matter is a doozy.How come I don't see that happening over and over again in many places?

I don't find his miracles any less today then when Jesus walked the earth.. He allowed us to walk on the moon, he gave man the knowledge to combat disease. Lack of faith is part of the last day scenario, so this question doesn't surprise me at all. He is the same yesterday today and forever.

They don't need to. We have all the revelation we need, God's Word. Besides, life in itself is a miracle. You wake up everyday? thats pretty amazing, your body works on it's on, breathing, heartbeat. The worlds spinning around as I type, yet the seasons come and go.

Miracles do happen today. God is much larger than the little pop culture shoebox that most people live in.

Because God got REALLY shy once we became capable of verifying or discrediting the "miraculous".
