pull ups are;
palms of your hands facing toward you, shoulder width apart, hanging from a horizontal bar. Hang from bar the extended length of your arms, pulling yourself up until your chin raises above the bar.
CHIN ups are palms facing AWAY from you, the rest is the same as above.
They exercise different muscles in your arms.
