Maybe as an adolescent you perceive it as such. Oh boy, wait till you get older!
It does go both ways, but as a teen things seem magnified and yes, girls can act like little snots for sure. Insecurities play a big part... if memory serves. Do not take it personally, it's not about you. Girls are just trying to fit and we can be so emotional. Yet If they are "cruel", pay no attention and know that you are better than that. There must be a girl or two that is somewhat nice, yes? No we are not "the devil". It's a big world! Filter out the bad from the good.

You can't justify cruelty with any reason. My experience is that girls are cruel to weak guys. If a girl is interested in a guy they are unlikely to be cruel (although sometimes its what makes them be cruel, but you're talking about mean the way I interpret your question). If you are strong they may not like you but they won't be cruel. And if they are cruel to a strong guy hes going to make them feel like the biggest idiot on earth. Girls don't respect weakness often. Its best to be strong. No question. I have been both. Girls are more socially paranoic than boys, often its to make them feel better about themself. BUT what this means is that THEY are weak and vulnerable underneath, they do not want to be embarrassed. So a strong guy who makes them scared that they will be embarrassed by being cruel is not a target they will take on. I'll give you an example of girls' social paranoia- If a guy says you have a huge a s s, a girl will either go to pieces or if she doesn't will go home and obsess over it. But if a girl said that to a guy, most guys would be like "so what"?

Guys are for the most part immature and all they think about during this time is sex and how much of it they can get, which is absolutely normal but the means a man goes thru to get it are sometimes very demeaning.
Men are much more cruel to women, trust me i know from experience.

As they are groing up, they love to test boundaries. They want to see what they can get away with. They're bored and they love drama! Even at the expense of others. Girls can be so cruel.

Its not a matter of being cruel, it is just us girls we have to take care of our selfs. we cant just accept every guy that comes our way.
