look for sprays that eliminate/mask odors. or on your drive back, keep windows open air out your shirt. sweatshirts tend to keep smoky smells on you. so take it off before you go in.

Just stay away from places where the stink of smokers' dirty wastes pollutes the air. And look forward to the day coming soon when the disgusting habit of smoking cigarettes is extinct, when the last pathetic nicotine addict coughs his way into the cancer ward and the grave. Smokers are total losers too weak-willed to get free from an addiction they know is killing them, and the world will be better off when they are gone.

Until the dirty smokers are history, all you can do is shun them. Find pubs and other places where the smokers are not welcomed. The cigarette smokers are on the way down, and there's no need to let these idiots drag you down with them.

As to the stink of their smoke getting in your clothes, just bear in mind that the same filthy wastes are getting into your body every time you are near the smokers. Even if the smokers are too dumb to deal with the damage they are doing to their own bodies, you need not hang around them letting your lungs be polluted with their waste exhaust gases. Find a clean pub or bar and stay away from the dirty ones fouled by the smokers..

Washing them in a nicely scented detergent should do it. For things like winter coats, test a little Febreeze to make sure it won't stain. If it doesn't, you can use Febreeze on it to make it smell better.

Spray them with a non-perfumed room spray and leave them out on a line in open air for a night.
