LCpl ... I don't think so, but that decision tends to change depending on the needs of the service. Call a Corps recruiter to ask, but find a way to verify whatever s/he says. By the way, you usually lose rank, depending on how long you've been out. However, because of your time in service, you can make rank a bit faster than when you waited for your stripes the first time.
Good luck and Semper Fi.

I came out of the Corps in 98 and at that time there was a 4 year time limit, but you still have to pass the P.F.T. Why would they want somebody in boot camp who knows that they're already a Marine. Semper Fi.

I am not sure.
I had Air Force time and when I entered USCG I did not have to do boot camp. And that Surprise was sprung on me after I got there.
Anyway....
Once you been through boot camp that's kinda it.
You know too much to be put in with them green guys.
Suspect USMC got their own scheme.
Mine was drinking beer in Cape May NJ , uniforms, and waiting for orders. And getting some other stuff done.
none of that "on your bellies! on your backs!." stuff.

no i had a friend who was out for four years and didn't have to back to boot. but but he did have to go back to his job school since they had changed and updated over the years. he said his recruiter told him he wouldn't have to ever go back to boot and that's for any service
