You may be entitled to recieve either all or a portion of the federal income tax back. You never get refunded for the social security tax.

You calculate your total tax on your income for the year, and then if the federal income tax withholding is more than that, you get back the extra. Your social security tax money stays in until you are eligible to collect it.

You MIGHT get some of the Federal Income Tax withheld, depending upon your total tax liability.
You never get the SS or Medicare tax back, unless you earned more than $94,000 from two or more jobs where you would get a refund of excess SS withholdings.

When you file your taxes you can potentially get federal taxes back. You don't get social security until you retire.
