Does anyone know any good places in SF (or bay area), for prom dresses? I've been saving and I am thinking about getting a new dress, but not bargain ones. (possibly a coctial/evening dress or a bridemaid dress) ANY SUGGESTIONS?
although I would prefered actually visit a store, but I know there are plenty good websites out there, can you suggest one? (just want to let you know that I am NOT looking for a "princess dress," I am hoping for something more "modren"=)

ross is probably not the kind of store i am looking for, i am willing to spent some $$ if that's what it cost. =)

There are so many stores in SF!!!! Ambiance- there is one on Union street and Haight.Brown Eyed Girl- the on on Washington has lots of nice dresses. Betsey Johson Boutique- on Geary just off of Union Square.There are lots of stores if you just walk down Union, Fillmore or Chestunt streets. Also, Viva Diva, my favorite boutique, it is on Fourth Street in San Rafael (marin county, like 20 minutes from SF) and they have a great policy that when you buy a dress for prom they won't allow anyone else from your school to buy the same dress, There are tons of stores in the Union Square area, Saks and Neimans can be pricey but you can find a resonable dress there too, I got my senior prom dress at Neimans for about $400 and it was so worth it, it was gorgeous! Good luck finding something and have fun shopping!!

You might be surprised what you find at Ross. There are many stores in the San Francisco area. They have some gorgeous dresses at great prices. I get a formal evening dress there every year to wear to my employer's Christmas party. There are styles for all ages.

Check out Group USA located at the Great Mall (in Milpitas, CA)... lots to choose from, you might find something you're looking for there...

I got mine from Windsor in the Mall....such a beautiful selection to chose from!!
