My 4 year old is really getting into spelling and recognizing letters and their sounds - he will spell out words off of clothing, TV, his toys, etc.
He does a couple funny and cute things, but my favorite is when you ask him to spell my name. My name is Jared, and you ask him, "How do you spell Jared?"
He replies. "D-A-D." Cracks me up every time!
But the best is his word for "farting". If he or someone else breaks wind he says, " MAN! Who pootied?"

That's adorable. My son doesn't try to describe things yet, he's still just learning to say waht the things really are (he's almost 21 months) but the way he says things are still really cute on their own. He seems to try to say more complicated words than the simple ones. He still uses a pacifier when he's tired, and we call that a "suckie" so when he says it it sounds like daddy, and he says pickle, tickle, and Jayden(his name) and hot dog, kitty, puppy, if he's got a poopy diaper he says skunky, but won't try the simple one syllable ones, he even says hello, but won't say hi!

my little ones haven't gotten their yet, but my little nephew says pokie for his privates. and whenever someone says poke or pokie he grabs it. lol sounds kinda bad but is so cute. (he's only 2). and my little sister used to call EVERYONE silly guy, when she wanted to be held she'd say ''i'll hold you silly guy!" (even did it in church one day to the statue of jesus with his arms up lol the priest even started laughing). also would say mug for gum. thats what we called it so that she wouldn't know what we were talkin about for quite awhile... but oh well lol

I had a 5 year old child of a friend that would say, "Can I have another torpedo please?" When he really wanted was another tortilla or taco.
