When a man have a flu, he may have a fever, shiver and cough.
Earth got global warming, tremors and volcanic eruptions. Human pass gas; so as earth.
Our increasing population with escalating demand from natural resources is out of proportion.
Wouldn't human get sick if something keeps sucking the blood off him? Now, how much oil we've pumped out from our dear earth?
The earth's core is getting low on oil and perhaps natural gas, too.
Just as an engine with low oil level..... it will ultimately breakdown!
The emissions of pollutants to the atmosphere is a mere contributor to global warming. Scientists should also actively investigate what is happening in the earth's core.

Look, I might be smaller that a virus on a pimple on the *** of the Earth, but I still resent being called dirt! Do the math! A 6-ft tall man would need to be magnified 1,694,880 times to appear on the same scale as our planet!

"The deepest research borehole ever drilled was in Russia, on the Kola peninsula. Over a period of more than a decade a huge purpose-built rig drilled to over 12 kilometers to investigate the structure of the Continental Crust." ...and that's not even close to the Mantle, or the Mohorovicic discontinuity.

In 2005 the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program managed to drill a well 4644 deep that penetrated basement rock beneath the sediment cover but did not penetrate the lithosphere completely.

The point is, we've not even come close (thank God) to Earth's lifeblood, which is molten rock. I wonder if those attempting Moholes have considered the resultant volcanic eruption should they succeed?

It's wise to investigate all natural directions but priorities first. After
the 70's oil embargo we in the western world had an early chance
to create jobs and develop new energy that would not polute
and would not require the rich and greedy to rob others of their
oil resources. War and killing has resulted from the greedy
restricting the energy alternatives from being developed so that
they can become even wealthier.
Wind, solar, tidal and river flow energy, greater efficiency for motor vehicles and insulation for buildings and
such things as flourescent and LED lights will now have to be
employed to save us. At this last moment of chance we must
command our elected leaders to save the environment and
our western jobs by leading the world with these issues. Our
future depends on it.

I'm not sure which is worse - your ignorance of science and the natural world, or your ignorance of the English language. Unfortunately there isn't room to correct either one here. Suffice it to say that you have proposed a variant of the 'Gaia' hypothesis; this neo-mystical concept may be rather attractive to certain communities, but is neither accurate nor useful for any practical purpose.

No!
I would say Life is the operative word!
life can take many forms. Human beings are just one form of life which is able to live in certain conditions. If these conditions are not met, whatever form of life suits the prevalent conditions will continue.
however, human beings have the techology to manipulate conditions so as to make them more suitable for human life to continue.
If it doesn't, long live the cockroaches!

People see what they want to see.

According to natural science the earth has seen far more turbulent times than anything witnessed in any Al Gore propaganda film.
