She is the secretary for the company he works for and he won't tell me what they talked about, only that it was simple chit chat. He calls her late at night and early in the morning, but continues to tell me there just friends.

Why 12 am? why not during the day or is he talking to her during the day and you just don't know it.

The question I have for you is...do YOU know this woman? Is she someone you would trust him talking to? Do you trust him? I am married and have male friends that I talk to until all hours, and they are just friends. I trust my husband and he trusts me. It all depends on how your relationship is.

I would worry because they could be having phone sex or something. Why do they need to talk so late, what's up with that?

I agree. Ask him. It could be work in which case you are stressing over nothing. If and when you find out that it is NOT work, then it is time to stress.
