I think I would view it as sign that there is a toxic gas leak somewhere in my house/apartment.
Possibly even that one of the other tenants in said apartment has an illegal meth lab.
You should consider immediately vacating your apartment.
Edit: You could also view it as a sign that you REALLY need to clean your place up a bit.
