i use iTunes.
i use limewire.
limewire is legal isn't it?
why would sharing files with another person be illegal?
It all depends on what kind of files you download i think.
for example, music on bit torrent would be fine.
however if you try to DL a cracked version of a program, that would be considered piracy.

I always buy my mp3's if i can.....I usually listen to trance or other similar stuff and can never find those mp3's for sale or the cds in the stores (America). ALso the only way i can find new music, since mtv or the radio wont' play it.....is to find a random artist and download his stuff. If i like it, i'll probably, if available, buy his tracks. WOuld like to say itunes sells nothing i like/ or already have.

Anyways, i think p2p is good.....i've bought 4 cds my entire life until i got napster back in the day....since then i've bought atleast 100 cd's worth of music. Granted i got a little older and was more into music....

Even with more popular music, there are like 2 good singles, then you pay $15 to find out the rest is crap. Its nice to actually know what you're getting. Also its totally alright to record a song on the radio onto casette to relisten to later. Why not dl the single that plays on the radio?

Also, you gotta figure the record companies are ripping you off. You can buy a $15 dollar cd legally from a russian site for $2.

Movies too. I like hong kong action films. Well its almost impossible to find any good ones at blockbuster. I tend to also disagree with movie reviews. Is it reasonable to buy random movies for $30 from hong kong? Half the tiem i find out what i think is an action film ends up beign a drama or mystery. THe good ones i buy though afterwards.

Saying P2P is bad because its illegal is like saying Pot is bad because its illegal and alcohol is cool cuz its not.
Ok i'll say its more like alcohol...in the legality sense. Drink a little and you can walk around outside fine or even drive legally. Drink a lot and you get sent to jail.
