Have a friend who… is a Pentecostal. He has fallen many times—smoking, drinking and sex. He has recently been drunk. If anyone is a Pentecostal please answer this. How does he get back up and be more spiritual. I don’t want him to go to hell. As I am also Pentecostal.

Our God is a God of mercy. He will forgive if you have a truly repentant heart. The only thing you can do for him is pray. You could possibly discuss your concerns in private with your pastor, and he may could talk to him. But the decision lies with your friend. He must be willing to let God have all his problems and let go of them. He must turn away from the sins that he is committing. He needs to recognize his weaknesses and the temptations that cause him to fall, and stay away from those things.

first of all, pentecostal doesn't have anything to do with his eternity. the only way he's going to go to hell is if he rejects Jesus Christ. from the sounds of it, he's not even saved. he needs to repent and ask for forgiveness. God will send the holy spirit in side of him when he does that and God willl help him change.

be there for him as a supportive friend. Pray for him. He can and will be forgiven if he truely wants to change and repent. Encourage your friend to walk on the right path again. Tell him how you feel about his behavior.

Whether someone goes to hell is a matter between that person and his god. It has nothing to do with you. In any case, I cannot imagine a god that is so petty it would condemn someone to hell for eternity for smoking, drinking and sex.
