Did Pope John Paul II rewrite the way that the Catholic Church influences and Takes on new memebers?

Actually, he did not rewrite or change anything. What he did was implement the Vatican II reforms on ecumenism. During his papacy he opened the door for inter-religious dialog not only with Protestants but also with the Orthodox Church, Judaism and Islam.

I'm sure he did. I think if you have money to donate and a pulse you can become catholic. Obviously, criminals, child molesters, etc.- nothing is too big of a crime for them to accept.
In general, since Paul, the supposed father of the catholic religion, it has been moving away from Paul's AND Jesus' original teachings. Research Constantine, the Roman Emperor, it all started with him. If you want to know the Catholic Church's role in the end of days, read the Book of revelation in the bible. It is referred to as the great whore and mystery babylon. the footnotes clearly state this as well.

I thought he fell asleep most of the time. While Pope Benedict starts off by putting his foot in his mouth, he at least DOES THINGS to fix it and improve upon the situation...

Well my opinion is they are bad staring with the pope who had his picture taken with Hitler. Yes Hitler. the pope agree with him and his sick plan.
