christians teach that we go to heaven or hell when we die. why would anyone be allowed to communicate from either? and if they did, wouldn't the first thing they all say be "heaven and hell are real"? most mediums don't seem to be outwardly christian at all, more "spiritual". just curious, it seems like there should be a debate that isn't happening.

In the bible it says to stay away from these because it is bad in Gods eyes ( Lev 19: 31) Do not turn yourselves to the spirit mediums and do not consult professional foretellers of events so as to become unclean by them. Then in Deut 18: 10-12 There should not be found in you anyone who employs divination a practicer of magic or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead for anyone doing these things is something detestable to God. This is what the bible says about it. Look it up yourself and see.

I soooo agree with you! But maybe mediums see a different visionary experience with the dead that isn't exactly "true".....demons can portray and toy with all kinds of situations...I know that "ouiji" is a medium-type spirit door, that hosts many beings who aren't who they claim to be....(never have I personally witnessed- I don't do "ouiji") But the book reads-" ...and God shall send them a lie, and they shall believe it"..I don't really feel that "medium" enlightenment is a gift from God--especially if the person is not a Christian. (many I've read about are atheists!) That blows me away...yes-we should debate....:)

Mediums are fakes anyway. Today they're called "channelers".

This past answer will give you all the references in the Bible why a Christian can't use the occult.
