30 min jogging on a treadmill, or 30 min at a brisk pace on an eliptical machine? i always thought jogging was better but i sweat alot more when i am on an eliptical machine.

The eliptical machine is better, since your ankles and knees don't suffer the hit of every step, besides you work a larger quantity of muscles than on a treadmill.
The treadmill requires you to jog on a hard surface, which increases the impact of every step, which is mostly absorbe by your knees and ankles.

Use the eliptical machine, for the sake of your joints... and also you'll have a better workout... so no you have more reasons than a good workout to use this machine.
Good luck and make sure to drink enough water... you'll sweat a lot.
