the file you want to download is wma or wmv or other audio or video formats. it is default to open media player when you click them.
for download these files :

if media player open out of your browser click on file menu and then choose save as .
if windows media open in your browser right click on it and go to properties then download it with download manager softwares

you can right click on link and choose save target as ... too.

Instead of clicking the link...right-click it and then choose "Save Target as..." Then the download box will open instead of Media Player.

To switch it to a differnt audio device you can right click the file that you downloaded (after its downloaded) and go to properties. There you will see "Open With" and a button next to it that says "change." Click on change and then select what you wanna open it with. Then click "Apply". I hope this has helped you.
