Neither God doen't exist nor you are SO awesome, just he love you and all human , that why he send his Son Jesus to make you close to God.
In the Bible it says :
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
May be you are worshipping your own Image, adoring yourself, thinking of yourself as if you would be not human, almost divine.
Is part of your spiritual growing, and I believe that you are going to read the Bible, and became a true disciple of Jesus our Lord.
Remember that GOD LOVE YOU , and JESUS too.
