I am a out of state collge student that is afraid of flying. I have to fly home often, but it seems like each time my anxiety gets worse. My school offers free psychological services, should I advantage of this opportunity??

Yes, definately! There is no sense in stressing yourself when there is free help available. Your travels will be much more enjoyable without the anxiety. Good Luck!

If you feel comfortable going to a therapist and it is available go for it. Otherwise you could speak to a medical dr. My father is afraid of flying and when he has to fly his family dr gives him a prescription for some antianxiety pills- just enough for the flights. It calms him down and helps him relax, sleep whatever and he does just fine. He only uses the meds for the flights so it is not a chance for addiction or anything. Just a suggestion. Good luck.

If you feel that therapy would help you then definately take advantage of it. It can't hurt to at least try it. It is very helpful a lot of the time.
