does rubberwood make good furniture material?
i am looking to buy a dining table made of rubberwood.
when i checked out the prices, the cost of a dining table made of rubberwood is almost half the price of tables made of regular ply.
is rubberwood furniture of inferior quality?

I have a bookcase and a beautiful dollhouse (my daughter's) made of rubberwood. I'm not an expert on wood, but it feels nice, cleans beautifully, and seems very sturdy - harder than pine, for example. Don't know why it is cheap, except that perhaps rubber trees grow faster than typical hardwoods (don't really know that) and that labor is cheap in Thailand and other rubberwood producing countries. I'd buy.

Ive bought some rubberwood corbels and trim piece and they,ve held up great, i doubt youl have and troubles
